Addendum 2 states “The following PDA’s shall be designed and treated in accordance with OPSD 205.06; excavated to FULL FROST DEPTH in accordance with OPSD 205.06…However, the ‘k’ depth shall be a minimum of THO THIRDS THE FROST DEPTH. The frost depth is 2.4m.”
As OPSD refers to ‘k’ as the excavation depth, can the Ministry please clarify if excavation in these locations is to be:
a) FULL FROST DEPTH, 2.4m or;
b) ‘k’ per OPSD, minimum of 2/3 FROST DEPTH, 1.6m
