The utility companies (Hydro One, Bell, Rogers) are planning to relocate all their existing plant to the west side of County Road 4 and, where feasible, to the west of the Reference Concept detour roadway. The utility alignments will generally cross the properties acquired, or being acquired, by MTO on the west side of County Road 4 north of the County Road 4 bridge and adjacent to the N-W Ramp.
The draft Hydro One interim and ultimate relocation design is provided in Addendum 8.
Hydro One’s interim relocation plans include an overhead relocation on the west side of County Road 4 from a point north of the project limits to a point north of County Road 4 bridge, where there will be an interim termination of the Hydro Lines. The existing hydro lines and poles adjacent to the interim relocation, and south of the interim termination are to be removed. For clarity, there will be no Hydro One connection to 8th Line in the interim configuration.
The removal of existing hydro poles in the study area will take place after Bell and Rogers relocations onto the new hydro poles and underground on the west side of County Road 4 have been completed. Bell and Rogers are to complete a permanent underground relocation that provides the necessary underground clearances for the future Bradford Bypass mainline and County Road 4 interchange ramps.
The ultimate hydro relocation plans and connection to 8th Line intersection will be completed after the Early Works.
