After reviewing the revised Document 28 that was issued in RFP Addendum 1, we are seeing discrepancies in the Design Criteria for the road work as follows: • Design Speed (RFP Section 2.4.1.2) – Only W-N/S Ramp is 60km/h and others are 80km/h, but the Design Criteria of this ramp matches at least 70 km/h design speed • RFP Material #28 Design Criteria – W-N/S Ramp “Design Standard” column shows crest and sag K curves in 60km/h standard (11 &18), “Proposed Standards” column shows Ramp Design Speed of 60km/h but K curves in 80km/h & 70km/h standards (26 & 23). • Contract Drawing Sheet 38 (Profile dwgs) – N/S-W Ramp shows a K11 crest curve, while the other ramps show a K26 crest curve. These do not match the Design Criteria.

• Ramp W-N/S satisfies a design speed of 80 km/h. Please see Addendum 5 (RFP Addendum 2). The design criteria will be updated in a future addendum. • The “Proposed Standards” column shows the design standards achieved by the proposed preliminary design. • The proposed crest curve of K=11 on Ramp N/S-W shown on the Contract Drawing Sheet 38 is within the ramp channelization near Glendale Avenue. The design criteria covers the geometry from the freeway bullnose to the channelization bullnose. All other ramps show the correct crest curve values and match the design criteria.
